Bongos Ikwue is a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and record producer. He was born on the 6th of June 1942 in Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria. He is known for his unique blend of traditional African music, highlife, and jazz, which he calls "Ikwue-jazz".

Early Life
He grew up in Otukpo and attended St. Francis Catholic School in Otukpo, where he developed an interest in music.
At the age of 17, Bongos Ikwue moved to Lagos to pursue his music career. He worked as a clerk in the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation while honing his music skills at nightclubs and other venues around Lagos.
